Leaving your cat while you travel can feel stressful—but the right preparation makes a huge difference! At Woof & Meow, we offer private, one-cat-at-a-time boarding (or multiple cats from the same household), so your feline won’t have to deal with unfamiliar animals. No cat cross-over, no stress—just personalized, peaceful care in a cozy home setting. Here’s how to make their stay as smooth as possible.
1. Pack Their Favourite Comforts
Bringing familiar items helps your cat feel at home. We recommend packing:
Their regular food (to avoid tummy troubles)
We supply the rest!
2. Get Them Used to Their Carrier
Most cats associate their carrier with the vet—so let’s change that! A few days before boarding, leave their carrier open in a cozy spot with treats or a soft blanket inside. The more they see it as a safe space, the easier the transition will be.
3. Keep Goodbyes Low-Key
Cats pick up on our emotions, so when it’s time to drop them off, keep things calm and casual. A quick goodbye is best—we’ll handle the cuddles and care from there!
Why Woof & Meow?
We’re not a big, busy facility—we only board one cat (or one family’s cats) at a time. That means no loud kennels, no strange animals, and no unnecessary stress. Just a quiet, familiar environment where your cat can relax while you’re away.
